Dutch police who pose as Jews to catch anti-Semitic attackers.
Dutch police are to use “decoy Jews,” by dressing law enforcers in Jewish religious dress such as skullcaps, in an effort to catch anti-Semitic attackers.
Lodewijk Asscher, Amsterdam’s mayor, has ordered the new decoy strategy to cut the number of verbal and physical attacks on Jews, amid fears that anti-Semitic “hate crime” is on the rise.
According to Waterfield:
Amsterdam police already disguise officers as “decoy prostitutes, decoy gays and decoy grannies” in operations to deter street muggings and attacks on homosexuals or the city’s red light district.

Police to patrol in Amsterdam disguised as religious Jews

The acting mayor of the Dutch capital Amsterdam, Lodewijk Asscher, has reportedly decided to deploy undercover police officers disguised as religious Jews on the streets in order to identify violent anti-Semites. “Jews in at least six Amsterdam neighborhoods often cannot cross the street wearing a skullcap without being insulted, spat at or even attacked,” the British newspaper ‘Daily Telegraph’ quotes Dutch media as reporting. Amsterdam police already disguise officers as decoy prostitutes, gay and old people in operations to deter street muggings and attacks on homosexuals or the city’s red light district.
Secret television recordings by the Jewish broadcasting company ‘Joodse Omroep’, broadcast over the weekend showed young men shouting and making Nazi salutes at a rabbi when he visited different areas of the Dutch capital.

In a bid to reduce antisemitic hate crime Dutch police have revealed plans to post “decoy Jews” around the city.
If the idea is approved by the city’s mayor, police will be dressed in religious clothing and posted in Jewish neighbourhoods to catch out attackers.
Authorities have reported a rise in antisemitic assaults in several Dutch cities, with Jews in some Amsterdam areas reportedly unable to “cross the street wearing a skullcap without being insulted, spat at or even attacked”.
The unorthodox approach was suggested by Ahmed Marcouch, a Moroccan born politician following the emergence of footage of young Moroccan immigrants making Nazi salutes and shouting at a rabbi.

The strategy would not be entirely new to the Netherlands. Crime fighters have already posed as prostitutes and grandmothers to target attacks in Amsterdam’s red light district.

Constable Suspended For Graft The constable was accused of accepting bribe from the manager of a brothel.
5th Jun, 2010: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Prabhakar Reddy, on Friday, ordered the suspension of a head constable (PC No. 2661, attached to the Sanathnagar police station) for accepting bribe. According to police officials, the tainted constable has been identified as Srinivas.
Srinivas was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from a person accused of being the manager of a brothel.
An inquiry into the case has been ordered.
